Please read the following rules before logging onto the GTS Depot Hub. They are now much shorter and easier to get through so unless English is not your native tongue, you do not really have an excuse for not reading them. The Mandatory section is, well, mandatory and the "Recommended" section is just a bunch of suggestions and the like. Failure to comply will result in a pack of wild baboons being dispatched to your house so they can rape you until you split in two.
Mandatory:
Sharing most things on the GTS Depot Hub is not only fine, it is encouraged. However, there are certain things that are not allowed under any circumstances and, if you are caught sharing them, you will be banned on sight. These include:
Animal stomping and crushing files. If you get off to women crushing mice with stiletto heels, you need psychiatric help. End of fucking discussion.
Scat. If you do not know what scat means, it is time I rob a bit of your innocence. Poo. Poop. Shit. Yes, it is disgusting. Yes, some people actually get off to this nightmarish stuff. Yes, it is not wanted. At all. Ever.
Feet videos and collages. If you think some woman sticking her feet into a camera's lens is sexy, I pity you. Do not share it.
Kiddy porn. This really should go without saying, but you would not believe what has been encountered in the past. My eyes do not need to be soaked in lye again.
For your own protection, people caught sharing personal and confidential information, such as your e-mail folder, chat logs, My Documents folder, or anything else someone might use to blackmail you will result in you being kicked. Subsequently, please make sure you are not sharing anything like this. After seeing someone sharing scans of court documents pertaining to their child custody hearings... do I really need to say anything else?
You have two days to share at least 100 MB of GTS stuff. That is two days of actively being logged on to the GTS Depot Hub, not two days after you first log on and only spend five minutes on. Because of this, shoring up 100 MB should not be a problem. If you have problems amassing 100 measly megabytes of stuff in 48 non-consecutive hours, something is terribly, terribly wrong.
MP3s, anime and the like do not count towards the 100 MB minimum. But you sure as Hell can share stuff like that if you want.
Do not hide your giantess files and folders. Hiding your shared giantess folders deep within your "JFK Conspiracy Evidence!!" folder so you can browse other hubs is not acceptable.
Do not act like a jerkoff. This includes but is not limited to insulting people, purposefully cancelling people's downloads from you while you continue to download from other people, and etc.
Recommendations:
You may chat about whatever you like on the Hub, for it is not limited to just GTS. Coping with senility, video games, movies, politics, soldering irons, cars, pop culture, scurvy, coping with senility, music, etc.
If possible, please try to chat in English. If you would rather talk in your native tongue to someone else who is also from your country, that is fine.
Please report trouble makers to the administrators, or the people with keys next to their name. The less riff-raff on the Hub, the better.
If an administrator sends you a private message, it would be a good idea to not log off without responding.
Leave an away message if you are going to be away from the computer and leaving your client running. You can activate and deactivate your away message by typing the following into the main chat window in your client:
/away
And to turn the away message off, type:
/back
Keep your Direct Connect client software up to date. The authors of the assorted Direct Connect clients do not update them for their health, after all.
Stay logged on as long as you want. There are no time limits on the Hub. The longer more people stay on the Hub, the more readily available files are, and what is not to like about that?
Share what you download. It makes it easier and faster to obtain material if you do so.
It is perfectly acceptable to share copies of things others already have shared. The more sources for files, the merrier.
Please try to keep your shared archives at least somewhat orderly and well maintained. Downloading someone's file list and finding that that person has 10 GB (10240 MB) of stuff all thrown haphazardly into one folder is extremely annoying.
Everyone is expected to share, but some people are better equipped to share than others. If you are lucky enough to have a really fast Internet connection, please open up more upload slots.
I prefer it when people have a description that fits the following forumula:
Your country, followed by a space, then a hyphen, then another space, and then a description of the stuff you are sharing, be it GTS or regular. Here are some examples that show exactly how it is to be formatted:
USA - Mega collages, videos, and stories
Canada - Drawings, stories, and anime
UK - Collages, Poser videos, and storiesThis rule is not mandatory, it is merely a suggestion.
Don't eat the taters. They's mah taters!
